AN ALABASTER AND MARBLE SCULPTURE OF A SEATED WOMAN ROLLING WOOL, CIRCA 1890 Guglielmo Pugi was a Florentine sculptor. Lived from 1850-1915. Was active from 1870-1915. He designed a bust of King Umberto for the main square if Fiesole, his hometown. He is best recognized for his alabaster female figures in the style of academic art from the end of the 19th century, several of which are exhibited in the Historical Alabaster Museum of Volterra in Italy. Height: 60 cm. Base: 28 by 20 cm. In a good general condition.
