Spanish school; 20th century. "Male bust". Patinated plaster. Measurements: 25 x 19 x 21 cm. Male bust made in plaster representing a figure in strict frontality. The piece stands out for the elongation of the forms that give the figure features of great expressiveness and rudeness that are abstracted from a truthful and naturalistic vision of the anatomy. This type of volumetry, slightly influenced by the avant-garde, brings us closer to the aesthetics of the first half of the twentieth century, where female forms were reinterpreted, moving away from the nineteenth-century ideal.
