Technical features: Wool velvet on silk backing.
A richly attired Achaemenid imperial couple stroll through what appear to be the ruins of Persepolis (on fire?). The King of Kings, beard in bloom, crowned, scepter in hand, brings his beautiful wife, with her diadem and pectoral, to the edge of a water lily pond. Wooden frame with metal ornaments and "immortal" Persian warriors standing guard. Rare and beautiful graphics and matching frame.
