Technical characteristics : Wool and silk.
This tapestry relates a mythological or historical scene, featuring a sovereign. Nobly dressed, crowned, standing on a cushion in front of her magnificent marine-decorated throne, in a haughty manner, while a maid pours a beverage from an amphora into the chalice handed to her by the queen, a noble figure dressed in antique style points out a temple erected in her honor or in honor of a god (or goddess). An elegant young page attends the presentation, as does a seated, impassive dog. Colonnades, amphora and tinctures complete the decor. (Wear and maintenance restorations).
