"The Victory of Gideon
Technical characteristics : Wool and silk.
Dimensions: Height: 250cm; Width: 510cm.
Decorated with a scene illustrating the victory of Gideon of Ophrah, son of Yoach, over the Midianites, plunderers from the South and East, driven out of the Land of Israel, then out of the Jordan Valley.
Gideon, on the strength of these military successes, nevertheless refused to be proclaimed king and found his dynasty.
