Date of creation: 22/05/2024 in Auray by Pix in the City. Leica D-Lux 7 / Raw Camera. Signed and numbered 1/1. 95 x 125 cm --- Loïc MOYOU, born in 1973 He began showing his photographic work, mainly focused on the city of Brest, in 2011. Through his photographs, he first highlighted a colorful city with sumptuous light, often depicted as "gray and ugly". Stopped in his tracks by the pandemic, the end of 2019 and 2020 remained a photographic hiatus for him. He was reborn in 2021 with his Alone series, which the public discovered at the time. In a contrasting black & white universe, humans and light become the main elements of his creations. His contemplative shots are akin to cinematographic scenes inspired by the likes of Alan Schaller, Marc Fearnley and Philip Penman. Alone is a series in perpetual evolution, a thread that allows Loïc Moyou to escape from his daily professional life. His participation in the Ar Seiz Avel project is an opportunity to highlight the city of Brest by unveiling the important Recouvrance bridge in the mist in his photograph Rive gauche incertaine. This photographic print was specially produced for the event in collaboration with Pix in the City in Auray.
