Oval-shaped, the large Calacatta marble top rests on a cast-aluminum tulip base covered with white plastic sheeting. Marked Knoll under the base, produced by Knoll Internaltional Italy ca.1970.
Good overall condition, with traces of use and a few small chips on the top.

Quarried in Tuscany in the Apuan Alps, Calacatta marble is distinguished by its vivid background and accentuated veins. It is so precious and coveted that its name has become a guarantee of quality, so much so that it is also used to name other materials.
