Two Rare Lounge Chairs, by Pierre Jeanneret (1896–1967)
designed circa 1953 Model No: PJ-SI-08-A. teak, canvas, rope. Low chair in solid teak, cord and cotton straps. Solid teak structure, can be dismantled and assembled using screws and nuts. "Bridge"-type profiled leg assembly, backrest in cotton cord and seat made of crisscrossing broad cotton straps. These type of seats, of which very few copies were made, are among the first created by Pierre Jeanneret upon arriving in Chandigarh.
Dimensions: Height 27 3⁄4 in. (70 cm), Width 22 1⁄2 in. (57 cm), Depth 24 in. (61 cm).
