INCENSE BURNER, QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG REIGN, FFS. S. XVIII. CHINA.
Bronze
It follows the typological form of an archaic Jian, with incised and hand-engraved decoration, bordered at the top and medallions with the four imperial characters of the Qianlong emperor.
It is also inscribed "treasure bowl", considered as a good luck charm and to attract wealth.
Handles in the shape of Ru Yi, Buddhist ceremonial center.
Mark on the base indicating that it was made by imperial order during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing dynasty (1736-95).
