CEREMONIAL FIGURE FROM ANCIENT CHINA FOLLOWING MODELS OF THE HONGSHAN CULTURE (4700 B.C- 2900 B.C)
Made of ancient jade, it represents the figure of Christ crucified on a cross of the same material, on a rectangular base. It contains numerous symbols such as the swastika at the top, typical of the Hindu or Buddhist religion, which, spiritually, has an ancient connotation of good luck. The yin and yang appear at the bottom as a symbol of Chinese medicine that seeks good health. The constellation of the greater bear appears on the reverse.
Restoration in the lower left corner of the base.
