Olympic games on the world's largest ice rink, donated to Chamonix by the PLM. The photographer concentrated on the goals, but these laminated panels, which you'd expect to see decorating a club or restaurant, give a good idea of these first Winter Games. There's even a glimpse of a rooster jersey, but a rooster on the ice has never caused a stir, and this fairly successful eight-team tournament was dominated by Canada, the USA and Great Britain.
