Emil Zatopek (1922-2000)
Three-piece athlete box set. In Helsinki, Czech athlete Emil Zatopek achieved a major feat: victory in the three longest races on the program: the 5,000, the 10,000 and the marathon. This boxed set perpetuates this historic race. It's him, the locomotive, he, the man who runs with his elbows wide apart, who is there on the original photo (18 x 11 cm) after his victory over the longest distance, on the track, it's him, medal around his neck, and the caption preserved on this "Eclair Mondial" document (9 x 9.5 cm) tells us so. A superb signature of the champion surmounted by the Olympic rings hammers it home.
