Painter Boris Talberg (1930-1984) was at the peak of his powers, and his two framed gouaches perfectly capture the atmosphere of both Olympic preparation and a 100m final:
a) the finish of the 100m, the photographers are already there..11 x 25.5 cm (with frame: 18 x 32.5 cm);
b) training, the stadium is buzzing, the countdown has started, there's the javelin workshop, soccer in the background, the hurdlers, and in the foreground, the pole vaulter, with his coach on the left in a blue tracksuit, 16.5 x 42.5 cm (with frame: 23.5 x 49.5 cm). It could be Rome, since all roads lead there...
