Olympic Games/ Summer, 1964/ Tokyo/ Roelants/ Gaston Roelants (1937-) Set of ten pieces evoking the victory of Belgian champion Gaston Roelants in the 3000m steeplechase: a) participant medal in patinated bronze, by Taro Okamoto, on the obverse three symbolized athletes cross the line, under the eye of a fourth pole-vaulter; reverse, XVIII Olympiad, rings, Tokyo 1964, diam: 6.1 cm; 118g; b) three fabric badges, one for the Belgian national team (the golden lion (11.5 x 6 cm), the Belgian lion on the rings (tired), and classic Tokyo); c) three Gancia photo cards of the "Lion of Leuven", two of them autographed; d) an autographed photo of Olympia in 2007; e) a cpm, the red rising sun; f) a philatelic art sheet with the Fuji Yama, the five official stamps, with red stamp, artist's proof signed in pencil; g) beautiful press photo, congratulations from King Baudouin, in Mexico in 1968 (18 x 24 cm) (he was knighted in 2002); h) photo of the "Gaston, Olympic champions" family, Gaston Roelants and Gaston Reiff, with their wives (17 x 23 cm).
