First edition of the memoirs of René Levasseur (1747-1834), a former doctor in Le Mans who was a member of the Convention, a supporter of Robespierre, a regicide and a fierce opponent of the Girondins (Tourneux, n°23657). These are an essential source for the study of Jacobism.
