First edition, illustrated with 13 plates, of this major work in which Becquerel sets out the conclusions of his seven-year experiment on radioactivity. It lists over 200 memoirs on the same subject published since his first work on radioactivity in 1896.
We know that the rays emitted by uranium were named Becquerel rays in his honor.
