First edition, printed in Quebec, with illustrations by Quebec painter Suzor-Côté.
A special edition was printed for France on behalf of the Delagrave bookshop: it is said that a large number of these copies disappeared in a shipwreck, and the others, which remained on the other side of the Atlantic, were sold in Canada for one dollar (mention printed on the back cover).
