Maurice BERANGER (1954-) ART SYSTEM Oil and collage on canvas 120 x 120 cm "Has the work of art become a system in today's economic model? Is the artist still free in his representation of the world? Maurice Béranger was born in Marseille on June 16, 1954. He studied at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Nice, then at the Beaux-Arts in Marseille (engraving and painting). He became an illustrator for publishing houses (Larousse, Hachette and Dargaud) and advertising agencies (Perrier campaign, Nestle, Jean-Paul Gaultier). He lives and works in Nice and regularly exhibits his work in Paris, Santa Fe (USA) and Monaco.
