Hans-Ulrich Ernst, known as Jimmy Ernst, is Peggy Guggenheim's assistant and an American painter. Encouraged by his father Max Ernst, he devoted himself to abstract painting. Inspired by famous
artists such as Dali, Giacometti, Miro and Man Ray, he became a member of the New York School.
