Set of 2 carved and brushed metal brooches with stylized leaf and sea mammal motifs, one enhanced with matte blue paint. Signed.
One brooch in metal and blue paint, attributed to Ciris Vell.
Ciris Vell, born in Paris in 1946, began her work with figurative paintings of female bodies, which she later developed through the use of raw materials. This led her to express herself as a sculptor and visual artist. Her universe is that of space, earth, nature and the universe, all tinged with an intense blue.
