CHINA, 19th century
Canton enamel on copper plate, decorated in famille rose polychrome with a lively scene of a woman and two men in a landscape, in a central medallion surrounded by floral scrolls on a yellow background. Mounted as an inkwell by the addition of a bronze frame encircling the plate and carrying, on two branches, a yellow enamel bowl decorated with flowers, forming an inkwell.
On the base of the plate, the old label of the Arts d'autrefois gallery, 90 rue du Bac (Paris).
