Anton von Werner (Frankfurt/Oder 1843 - 1915 Berlin), "Sedan: Das Musikcorps des 1. Schlesischen Jägerbataillons Nr. 5", 1882, pencil drawing on brownish glassine paper, monogrammed and dated lower right, location inscribed lower left, 22 x 40 cm, study for the Sedan panorama at Alexanderplatz in Berlin, completed in 1885, showing the music corps playing during the battle, the faces of the musicians were made by the artist based on the pictures in the battalion album, two smaller paper losses, under glass in a narrow white gold border, overall size: 25 x 43 cm.
