Anton Hoffmann ( Bayreuth 1863 - 1938 Rothenburg o.d.T.), 'Collection of four pen and ink drawings (illustration templates) on cardboard for Friedrich Regensberg, "1866: Letzte Kämpfe", Frankh Verlag, Stuttgart 1906, each ink on cardboard, each signed and inscribed "München", all partly with pencil annotations on the reverse for printing, 20.5 x 18 to 26.5 x 21.5 cm. Limit 135,- >> First service with the 2nd Bavarian Field Artillery Reg. studied from 1889 at the Munich Academy as pupil of Gabriel von Hackl and Wilhelm von Diez, worked as draughtsman and illustrator, with his paintings frequently at the glass palace exhibitions in Munich since 1896, acquired a special reputation through his historical studies on the Bavarian army.
