KPM, commemorative cup and saucer, c. 1815-20, commemorating the Battle of Leipzig 1813, Calathos form with high campanile handle, porcelain, glazed, beige partial ground on the underside, polychrome painting, gold staffage, the cup decorated with the date "1813" in laurel, ivy, olive and oak leaves, the saucer mirrored with a topographical map of the battle with the order of battle and the inscription "Völkerschlacht bei Leipzig, am 18. u. 19. Oct.", underglaze blue sceptre mark and inscription (triangle in red) on the base, H (total): 10 cm, lower D: 14 cm. Provenance: Werner Collection, Neunkirchen. Limit 252,-
