Very rare. Brown and green patina. This coin was minted during the Second Spanish War. Sextus was the youngest son of Pompey the Great. After his brother's defeat by Caesar at Munda, he held on to Spain and conquered Sicily, which he used as a base from which to blockade Rome. He won two victories over Octavian and was defeated by Agrippa in 36 at the battle of Naulochos.
