Michel Nedjar (né en 1947) Personnage aux bras croisés Mixed media on paper signed on back 42 x 22.5 cm Condition report: Framed, small tears Born in the Val d'Oise of Algerian (on his father's side) and Polish (on his mother's) Jewish parents, he began by helping his grandmother with her second-hand clothes stall at flea markets. On numerous trips to India, Iran and Mexico, Nedjar discovered the folk arts that inspired him, on his return in 1976, to bring strange "dolls" to life.
