Alecos Fassianos (1935-2022) Jeux des vagues Oil on canvas signed and titled upper left 130 x 100 cm Condition report: Framed Fassianos meets Louis Aragon by chance in a gallery. The writer says, "Are you Fassianos? I'm chasing you everywhere", and invited him to his home. There, the Greek artist discovered paintings by the great masters, including Picasso's Les Pigeons, the memory of which left its mark on his work. Discovering that Aragon owned many Fassianos, the young artist was told "you're the last painter of the Mediterranean!"
