Anna Boghiguian (née en 1946) Embarcation et soleil rouge 2004 Colored pencils on paper signed and dated lower right 30 x 42 cm Condition report: Bent Born in Egypt to an Armenian family, Anna Boghiguian is a poet as well as a painter and draftswoman of individuals and urban spaces. A nomad, she studied economics and social sciences at the American University in Cairo, while learning painting from Fouad Kamel. Her family then moved to Montreal, where she obtained a degree in visual arts and music. It was during this period that she lost her hearing... thirsting for discovery, she continued to travel the continents, always accompanied by her sketchbooks, which she persistently filled. Her work has been exhibited at the Guggenheim in Abu Dhabi, Documenta 13 in Cassel in 2012, MoMA in New York in 2017...
