Yoruba ibeji statuette, Nigeria Brown patina wood, camwood, lye blue, metal, tubular blue glass beads H. 27 cm Female statuette, arms in brackets on either side of the bust. The head opens onto a diamond-shaped eye pierced in the center, while the headdress, enhanced with blue lye, is carved in the image of a crown.
