[General de Gaulle] / Rare invitation from General de Gaulle, on behalf of the Conseil National de la Résistance, to the September 12, 1944 meeting at the Palais de Chaillot (13.5 x 10 cm, binder holes) - This invitation was stapled with a note from the guest, who made a point of noting his feelings (2 p in-12, binder holes): "While the other directors were for the most part arrested or dismissed or transferred, I was invited to General de Gaulle's 1st public meeting - I was deeply disappointed and had a premonition of the confusion that was to reign - Instead of uniting, General de Gaulle denounced the usurper, his former leader and godfather of one of his children, it is said - In the room the Communists interrupted and discussed with other listeners - We'll see in 2 years".
