CHARLES d'ANGOULEME (1573-1650, natural son of Charles IX and his mistress Marie Touchet, this legitimized royal bastard was placed under the guardianship of his grandmother Catherine de Médicis and his uncle Henri III, of whom he was a favorite) / Nomination on parchment signed "Charles d'Orléans" in his own hand, given in Clermont in December 1590: as Duke of Orleans, Grand Prior of France, Count of Auvergne, Clermont and Lauraguais, Charles appoints Sieur Duprat as Governor and Commander of the town of MONTLUCON, to ensure order and obedience, in charge of the said city to lodge and pay him reasonably as well as his company of 50 men - This parchment (57 x 34 cm) is laminated on a black background under a marie-louise and presented in a gilded frame (on the back of the frame, certificate by "Les écrits d'Antan", Années 70).
