DIEPPE (76) - Jean-François GILLET (1740-1788, Ecuyer) / Attestation médicale du Docteur Eramber et du Chirurgien Major Demay de la Citadelle de Dieppe, établi à Dieppe le 25 décembre 1773, 1 p grand in-8, passé au vinaigre pour purification (cause sanitaire), en faveur de Jean-François Gillet, Ecuyer, ancien Garde du Corps, Chevalier of the Royal Order of Saint-Louis, affected by a fistula in the perineum, "cause of an infinity of other accidents", so they grant him permission to travel to Paris, his condition requiring "the most decided Enlightenment and the most urgent help", "persuaded that he runs the risks of his life"; the attestation was subsequently certified by Louis-Joseph de TILLY (1720-1782), Lieutenant for the King of the Cities and Castles of Dieppe, who affixed his wax seal.
