GASTRONOMY - Baron Léon BRISSE (1813-1876, gastronome and culinary author, friend of Rossini and Dumas Père, he was with Grimod La Reynière one of the first gastronomic journalists) / Set of 2 autograph letters signed, each 1 p in-8, dry-headed from his newspaper "L'Abeille Impériale": in 1860, he announced to his correspondent "the transformation of L'Abeille", "it is therefore essential to finish your news in the two weeks we have left to publish it"; in 1861, he thanked his correspondent for his letter, "everything we receive from you will be perfectly welcomed here".
