Interesting potion vase featuring the head of the jaguar god with incised motifs on the body evoking the glyphs of the mother culture.

This vase found in Costa Rica features iconography characteristic of the Maya culture. It bears witness to the influence of this culture on Costa Rica. Its slip also indicates that it can be dated to the period of decline corresponding to the Toltec invasions of Mexico.
