Pair of Louis XV period bow pistols.
Flat-bodied flintlock locks and swan-bodied hammers.
Signed "Jean Griottier".
Flintlock barrels and round barrels with shooting bands, carved stocks with blank thumb pieces, all brass fittings.
Faceted caps and chased openwork lock plates decorated with an antique-style profile of a man in a medallion and a chimera.
One in perfect mechanical condition, the other in good mechanical condition, but the trigger tail transmission does not work.

Griottier Jean, harquebusier born in Saint-Étienne (Loire), circa 1661. Son of Jean and Hellène Pélissier. On August 15, 1688, he married Claudine Jourjon. His sons Jean-Baptiste and Antoine-Joseph succeeded him. Died August 15, 1736.
