ALBERTVILLE 1992 Exceptional official torch of the XVI Olympic Winter Games designed by French designer Philippe Starck. Known colloquially as "La Corne". Lit on December 14, 1991 in Olympia, it was flown to Paris on the Concorde, where the relay then covered 5500 km across France and Corsica to Albertville with the help of 5500 torchbearers, the last of whom was Michel Platini. Made of stainless steel, it measures 42 cm by 80 mm at the top diameter. It is produced in a limited edition and is part of the first series numbered 090:100. In good condition (some rubbing). Museum piece.
