[DANTE] GORI, Affortunato (1895-1925). Dante crowned with a laurel wreath. Paris, [c. 1905].
A fine Art Nouveau sculpture of the author of the Divine Comedy by Fortunato Gori, a pupil of Augusto Rivalta and the Parisian sculptor Victorien-Antoine Bastet, famous for his chryselephantine sculptures in bronze and marble; he exhibited from 1904 until 1923 at the salons of the Société des Artistes Français. The lot is accompanied by CITES documentation.
