Lot containing an edition of The Consulate of the Sea, a primary source of maritime law that provides a vast collection of information on European legal systems, the first edition of which was published in Barcelona in 1484, offered with Petrus Rainutius' work on the study of shipwrecks and their economic consequences.

Contemporary binding in vellum, title lettered to spine in manuscript (detached, some chipping).
