An elegant edition of 'The Sack of Troy,' an epic poem of 691 verses, narrating events from the capture of the Trojan seer Elenus to the departure of the Greek troops after the capture of Troy. Brooks 681 and 656: 'Edition made in the same typeface as Coluthus (1795), and bears the date 1797, but I quote it under this date as De Lama'.
Folio, (350 x 250mm). Text in Greek with Italian translation by Angelo Teodoro Villa, uncut (light sporadic spotting). Contemporary orange boards, title lettered to spine in manuscript. (1)
