MISSIRINI, Giuseppe (1775-1829). Lezioni di Geometria pratica e di Architettura per uso del pub.co Ginnasio di Forlì¬ compiled by Ing.re Giuseppe Missirini Forlivese. Forli, 1803 (dated to the preface). Elegant manuscript, presumably autograph, collecting the lectures of Giuseppe Missirini, neoclassical architect and professor at the Gymnasium of Forlì, trained in the Academies of Bologna and Florence and member of the latter. The topics covered range from plane geometry to architectural design, from construction practice to the list of architectural orders, to decorative motifs. An interesting testimony to new architectural approaches on the Italian peninsula. Folio, (345 x 240mm). Ink manuscript illustrated with numerous original illustrations depicting geometric forms, architectural and decorative elements [BOUND WITH:] Preface to be recited on the occasion of the opening of the studij of Architecture. 4 leaves dated June 25, 1820.
