Annotated lower center "d'après Paul Delaroche / ... Vigo 9bre 96"; one very faint.
24 x 34 cm.
Stains, blemishes, missing parts.
Black frames in wood and plaster (small accidents and missing parts).
In 1834, Paul Delaroche, accompanied by Delaborde, Bertin and Odier, visited the Camaldolese monastery in Tuscany and painted portraits of Benedictine monks. Some of these are now in the Musée de Nantes.
