D'après Claude MICHEL, dit CLODION The drunkenness of Silenus, falling from his donkey and held by two bacchants. Top plate and bas-reliefs in bronze with a coppery patina, held by two vertical blades in brown-black patinated brass on a quadrangular base in molded sea-green marble. Signed. Second half of the 19th century. Plate: 38.5 x 32 cm - Base: 10 x 29.5 x 10 cm - Total height: 48.5 cm. Vermiculated hole above the donkey's head. Black marks at top left (paint, oxidation?), some oxidation. Chips and chips on the base, particularly on the reverse.
