D'après Alexandre-Pierre SCHOENEWERK (1820-1885)
Rocaille-style clock with foliate base framing a round white enameled dial with Roman numerals for the hours.
Crowned with a group of two putti, one holding a bow, the other a marotte, doves and musical instruments at their feet.
Oval terrace signed L. Marchand on the left and Schoenewerk on the right.
Resting on shell or leafy feet.
Mid-nineteenth century.
46 x 44 x 21 cm.
Accents and cracks to the enamel, some wear to the patina.
ATTACHED to form a set :
A pair of Louis XVI style candelabras in double patina bronze with three arms of light decorated with leaves, a putti holding vine leaves or a sheaf of wheat leaning against the shafts. Round base with twisted ribs and mufles decorating console feet.
H. 39 cm.
Accents and restorations, notably to the arms, and wear to the patina.
