3 folio volumes in publisher's slipcase. Suite of 100 original engravings on B.F.K. Rives based on Salvador Dali's watercolors to illustrate Dante's Divine Comedy. Each volume includes a leaflet listing the songs and 34 engravings for Hell, 33 for Purgatory and 33 for Paradise.
Raymond Jacquet and Jean Tarrico used around 3,500 woodcuts to engrave the illustrations. Each engraving signed in the plate and mounted under a passepartout bearing Dali's printed signature.
