Important CRUCIFIX de CHAPELLE the frame in molded wood and gilded with gendarme hat. The living Christ in Loxodonta Africana ivory rests on an ebony cross. The hair is flared and the face is very expressive, revealing the teeth and tongue. Missing crown. Large two-part perizonium. Significant natural cracks on the left leg. Total height of Christ: 50 cm. Total width of arms: 25.5 cm Titulus in ivory from the same period. Dimensions: 10 x 60 cm French work, probably from Dieppe. Late 17th or early 18th century. Provenance : Breton religious congregation. Total frame height: 102 x 67cm CITES n°FR24035100069-K - Object composed in whole or in part of ivory (Elephantidae spp.). In accordance with EU regulations (Regulation (EU) n° 2021/2280 of 16/12/21), the object will be delivered to the buyer with its Certificat Intra Communautaire n°FR24035100069-K issued by the DREAL on 21/05/2024.
