RIGALT WORKSHOPS. Attributed to. Ladies grooming themselves, surrounded by plant motifs. Pair of doors with modernist stained glass windows made of polychrome cathedral glass with various relief textures, basins and larger enameled plates. Neo-Gothic structure doors in painted pine wood. From the first decades of the 20th century.
Similar works: in the Casa Garriga Nogués, located on Diputación Street, 250 in Barcelona, there were stained glass windows from the Rigalt Workshops with an almost identical design in the borders and plant motifs. Stained glass windows with enameled plates are also known from the Rigalt Workshops, very similar in technique to those at the center of these doors.
Origin: former property of the historian, ethnologist and politician Josep Maria Batista i Roca (Barcelona, 1895-Barcelona, 1978). The doors come from an unidentified house in Barcelona.
approx. 3.03 m total height, 60 cm width and approx. 2.23 m height stained glass windows. Stained glass windows mounted on the doors. The doors are disassembled and without a frame. The stained glass windows are firm and in good general condition. Original leads, small breaks, small faults and abundant surface dirt, especially on one side.
It is located in the home of the current owners in a house in Esparraguera, in the province of Barcelona. The buyer must take care of the collection and transport from the house.
