PIERRE GRISOT. Ballerinas. (d) Oil on boards Signed 33x25.5 cm Pierre Grisot (1911-1995) was a French post-impressionist painter known for his vibrant paintings of ballerinas, fashionable women, landscapes and flowers. Born in Paris, Grisot developed a unique style, full of color and vitality, that stands out from the styles of his contemporaries. He studied at the École des Arts Décoratifs and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he graduated as a drawing instructor. Grisot was a member of the Paris School and exhibited frequently at the Salon des Indépendants and other prominent galleries. His works reflect a cheerful and carefree world, portraying young women with bright colors and expressive lines. Throughout his career, Grisot also worked as a fashion illustrator for the magazine "L'Officiel de la Mode et de la Couture" and created commercials for Christian Dior. Rusty varnish.
