Original, large and fine Ghoum kork RUG, Iran.
High-quality silky lambswool velvet, flowers surrounded and inlaid with silk on cotton foundations.
Beige field decorated with polychrome stylized flower bulbs and palmettes, surrounded by fine twisted crenellated branches and adorned with stylized animals and birds. Five borders, the main one of which is old pink, with decoration reminiscent of the central field.
Circa 1965, Shah period.
