JOAN LLAVERÍAS LABRÓ (Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, 1865 - Lloret de Mar, Girona, 1938).

Painter and draftsman, Llaverías studied at the School of Fine Arts of Barcelona. Founder of the Center of Watercolorists of Barcelona, he held exhibitions and participated in artistic contests of diverse importance, such as the Official Exhibition of Barcelona in 1894. As an illustrator, he was one of the most brilliant of the Catalan modernist period, having collaborated in newspapers and weeklies such as "Cucut" or "Patufet". He illustrated some of the works of Josep María Folch i Torres and was the teacher of the illustrator Lola Anglada.
