Trained in drawing at the School of Arts and Crafts of Triana (Seville), in 1962 Rolando Campos entered the Santa Isabel de Hungría School of Fine Arts (Seville). In 1968 he exhibited for the first time in a collective exhibition at La Pasarela Gallery. The paintings and drawings of that period between 1967 and 1982 are subject to complex postmodern uses of cubist resources. At the beginning of the eighties he began the production of faceted still lifes with personalized and updated cubist resources that show his evolutionary maturity. In 1974 he came into contact with the theater group "Esperpento" (Seville), with which he collaborated as a set designer.
